Our Promise. Your Support. Their Success.

Greetings Honeybee Families!

I feel privileged to be the principal of Citrus Elementary School and have the opportunity to work with such a high-quality and dedicated team. We will continue to work together to ensure that our students have opportunities to be successful in both academics and in their social-emotional learning. Relationship building is a commonality that is shared throughout our school community and is a top priority of our team.
The vision of Orange County Public Schools is to ensure every student has a promising and successful future. Here at Citrus Elementary, we work to achieve this vision every day by providing standards-based, differentiated instruction to every student who enters our building. Meeting student academic and social-emotional needs is achieved through providing interventions and enrichment opportunities daily, allowing all students to reach their fullest potential.
Research shows that parent engagement in a child’s education has a multitude of positive impacts. Therefore, we encourage our community to participate in our school life. There are many opportunities to be involved at Citrus. Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a great way to get involved with planning events and participating in fun activities along with meeting other parents. Our School Advisory Council (SAC) meets monthly to discuss school-wide progress. The SAC’s primary role is to assist in the preparation and evaluation of the School Improvement Plan for the current year. We hope you will join us in making Citrus the best it can be. I look forward to a great year at Citrus Elementary School, and seeing all of the smiling faces that make our school special.
